Why can&#8217;t Delta do basic math?<\/p>\n<p>Don&#8217;t get me wrong.  I like Delta.  They&#8217;ve treated me very well, certainly better than other domestic airlines, and they&#8217;re almost always my first choice for travel.<\/p>\n<p>But then something like this pops up.  I&#8217;m dying to see the lava flows in Hawaii, but it&#8217;s not easy to get there, so I went on-line to see how many Delta miles I&#8217;d need to make the 11-hour journey up front. The lowest fare is both 174.5K and 196K?  And 196 is lower than 195 or 179?<\/p>\n<p>I know that running an airline isn&#8217;t easy, and I try to be tolerant.  But in this case I&#8217;m just baffled.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>According to Delta 174.5 and 196 are the same.
