The weekly photo contest is now live!
Here’s how it works:
(Tl;dr: Upload your photo here for a weekly chance to win a $50 Amazon gift card. There is no cost to enter.)
On each day from Sunday through Thursday, a daily winner is chosen from among the day’s entries, and announced on this site the following day. Then one of those five photos is chosen as the weekly winner, and awarded the weekly prize of $50, in the form of an Amazon gift card. The complete rules are here.
This was originally conceived primarily as a travel-photography contest. You’d travel somewhere and submit your best shots. And that’s still part of the contest.
But because not many people are traveling these days, two more types of photographs are especially encouraged:
- Photos from previous trips. This could be a great way to re-live past experiences as you share them; and
- Photos of what it’s like to stay at home. This could be anything, from a selfie to a view from your window, or anything else that represents your social distancing.
